Summary:
This position is accountable for the production, storage, and shipment of Amtrate fertilizer, IGAN (industrial grade ammonium nitrate) and ammonium nitrate solution. Additionally this position is accountable for load out of these products into rail and truck equipment. The Yazoo City Port operation falls under the supervision of this position.
##### Job Responsibilites:
Responsilbe for implementation of various environmental, safety and health standards at the ANF/Port areas as required by Federal Government, State Government and CF industries.
Oversees operation and maintenance of the ANF Plant to produce quality products as budgeted quantites demand.
Oversee staffing, training and management of 48 employees in the ANF area. This includes monitoring job performance, hiring decision, disciplinary actions, operating procedures, operator training and operator certification.
Oversee shipment of finished products. This includes ensuring that adqequate rail equipment is available for Amtrate, AN Solution and IGAN. Also, oversee the ANF/Port personnel responsible for posting goods, generate bills of lading, order in mobile car repair units and reconcile CN billing.
Assist Engineering Department with projects that involve new products, increased product rates, quality improvements and improved efficiencies.
##### Successful incumbents will have:
B.S. Chemical Engineering (May substitute degree in Mechanical Engineering if candidate has 10
years experience in Chemical or Petro-chemical industry)
10
years experience in operations/manufacturing and supervision of an operating area.
Knowledge of PSM policy and ability to implement and monitor.
Proficient in Windows environment with Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Required certifications include: hazmat training, emergency response training, first responder training, DOT training.
##### Position Scope/Contribution:
This position requires much flexibility in the daily schedule. Often unforseen maintenace or operating issues set the schedule for the day. This position requires forward planning to anticipate maintenance needs and efficient use of personnel. There are many hazards associated with the process and personnel training is of the utmost importance. Updating operating procedures, improving operating training and certification process is a continuing effort.
Management of upgrade units is key to the efficient operation of the Yazoo City facility. Since downtime in these untis directly impacts other upgrade unit downtime, the area operating units plant must be managed in a manner to attain a high on stream factor while maintaining environmental compliance and above all, meet safety goals
